To create a suitable piece of cardboard for your needs, follow these guidelines. Using a piece of cardboard that is 8 inches wide and fold it over itself. If the cardboard is thin, increase the width to 12 inches. The piece should also be no more than 4 inches high for optimal results and best fit. If it is too short, it will interfere with the blade, and if it is too long, it will not perform as intended.

Wavy holes and corrugations are two term used to describe the fluted holes that exist between the exterior layers of cardboard. To ensure the intended effect, make sure the cardboard is positioned in such a way that the wavy / corrugated holes come into contact with the grill grate. If the cardboard is positioned differently, it will not work as intended.

Once the cardboard is cut and placed in the scrubber, it is ready for use on the grill. To use the scrubber place the cardboard in direct contact with the grill grates. Apply a slight pressure while moving the scrubber back and fourth against the grates to loosen old debris.
